Lots of pictures this time
Cool city bro. At least one Goron here lives his by letting the good times roll
Meeting up with the big guy he seems kinda pissed
Couldn't do anything i the city so headed out to the forest to meet up with Saria. Love this song very catchy tune
Made friends with a skull kid on the way back to Goron city
Darunia liked it too gave me a bracelet and asked me to help clear his favorite cave of dinosaurs
Nice skull adds great ambiance to the area
Hahahaha time to make things go boom
First victim of Link the mad bomber. Dino Down. Got heart piece as well as goron's ruby
Man as a kid these fairies scared the hell out of me. Oh well got my spin move now all y'all better watch out
Another reason why these things scare the hell out of me, what kind of a pose is that for a kids game and what the hell is it wearing. W/e got myself the Din's Fire spell, don't use the spells too much except for Naryu's Love.

Picture Time
OK gonna try this out for a bit these screen shots are right off my tv with a digital camera so some of them are a bit tilted but they should be alright
Heading out to the first dungeon, the big tree has a stomach ache but don't worry link is on the case
Oh man what was the tree eating, that is one nasty bug
Well thats that extermination complete
Survived the night after i was too slow to get inside, they have a real skeleton problem in hyrule
Met up with zelda she explained some of things going on, also she talked about how evil gannondorf is. (btw he is really evil)

I Love This Game
OK so this game i will be playing on my TV and i am going to try to take my own screen shots, so if it works this part of my blog will have a lot less words and a lot more pictures. OOT is a classic anyone who has every claimed to be a gamer has at least played this game and there is a goo reason for that. IT IS AMAZING. This game at the time of its release was spectacular graphically and the game play was great. To this day it still is a great game and it will be a long time before it is ever forgotten about.
So why does it go here on the time line? Basically OOT is the start of the legends of zelda it introduces themes and characters that exist in games that come after it. The origins of ganondorf, the origins of zelda link and ganondorf being the holders of thier pieces of the triforce, wisdom courage and power respectively. Also it has an intriguing split ending at the end which as you will see ends up causing the two different hyrule dimensions. I won't talk to much more about it here if you want a better description of this i recommend Lancum's video's on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99W9yj86buo&feature=related). Alright i wanna start playing right now so i will leave this here later guys.

One Down
So i got down to business the last 2 days and finished up minish cap this involved beating the temple of droplets and the wind palace and getting both the Flame Lantern and the Roc's Cape, as well as 2 more heart containers and the element of wind and water respectively. The temple of droplets was a breeze as well as the boss the octork as long at you didn't allow it to start moving around on you. For some reason i had a lot of trouble with the two ball and chain troopers right before the first warp point in the palace of winds. I actually died twice and had to redo the whole dungeon twice, which needless to say was extremely infuriating. The boss of the wind palace the gyorg pair introduces you to the split link battle as i call it. Basically you have to use the splitting ability of your sword to split link into 3 different links with a distinctive shape so you can strike all the enemies weak spot at the same time.
After dealing with those final two dungeons i buffed up my health bar to 14 hearts by various kinstone fusions bought 2 bottles of lon lon milk and headed to the elemental sanctuary where upon the infusion of the final elements and opening of the pathway to the golden power Vaati is able to access that power and twist the world to his desire. After this event hyrule castle gets twisted to the dark hyrule castle which is where vaati make shis final stand. After clearing the dungeon which involves a series of mini mini boss battles with iron knuckles you face off against vaati in a dramatic race against the clock to save princess zelda. The final battle takes place in 3 stages all but the last being quite easy. His final form is a bit more troublesome due to the weird combination of weapons used to defeat him. In order to stun his hands you have to use the wand of pacci, which if you remember it's ability is to flip things upside down so it was the last item i used here but it did the job. After you deal with his arms it becomes a standard shoot back the balls of energy with your sword battle.
All said i done i like this game a lot, it reminds me of a link to the past as well as having a carefree funny atmosphere to it. The only fault I can really draw from the game is that it is quite short but this can be remdied by completing the vast assortment of mini quests and kinstone fusions. Also there are some things that can be accomplished only after you beat vaati (mirror shield). Alrighty then on to the next title, my personal favorite along with many zelda faithful, The Orcarina of Time.

Lots To Do
What a miserable day today cold and dark. Perfect time to play some Zelda. When we left off i had just finished the fire temple and the shitty boss. First thing to do was infuse my new sword fire and earth. This was accomplished in the elemental sanctuary in the hyrule castle. The infusing process gave link the ability to split into two forms. This neat trick is handy for quite a few problems ranging from pushing big blocks to stepping on multiple switches at the same time. After this the Castor wilds loom ahead, but before we can cross them we need the Pegasus boots. Now this might be obvious for some but it took me a while to figure out the shop with a shoe on top of it was a shoe shop. Anyway after a little side quest we get the Pegasus Boots, these allow us to run through the swamp without sinking.Clearing through the swamp provides you with an unexpected gift the Bow which was quite nice. After the swamp we headed to the shrine of winds which tripped me up for a bit till i found the secret wall that was to be bombed in order to get the Mole Mitts. After grabbing the mole mitts i clashed with the boss Mazaal. I liked him he is quite fun interesting use of mole mitts to defeat him (have to shrink down go inside and dig around to find his weak spot). defeating Mazaan shows that this shrine no longer contains the wind element, but we do get the ocarina of wind instead which enables quick travel between zones. After the wind shrine i spent a couple hours doing side quests and getting hear pieces I ended the day with 11 hearts as well as the Power Bracelets and the Flippers. I also got another Bottle #2 and found a house for faore. After all that used my new found flippers to swim down to the temple of droplets and enter. Like this post i am going to try to keep it short, if you are reading this i assume you know all about zelda so i will try not to bore you with small details. Later days

Forge the Sword
After reaching the top of the mountain i find a minish mine with a blacksmith and his seven apprentices. Btw the blacksmith looks like a pretty bad ass minish. I give him the broken picori sword so he can work on remaking it while I go take care of business in the cave of flames. I like the mechanics in the cave of flames i find both the mine carts extremely rewarding. That being said the item in the dungeon is one of the most lame things ever. the Cane of Pacci Description:When equipped and directed, the cane fires an energy beam that flips any object in its path. Wow they were really grasping at straws when they came up with that one. The only redeeming feature of the item is its ability to energize holes and make them throw you up into the air. After getting the cane you solve a few puzzles based on flipping over random things rocks platforms etc. The boss must have been a head scratcher too "OK guys we got this wand and it flips things, and we need a boss that be killed by flipping" of course everyone else in the room is hungover and doesn't want to do anything. One guy mumbles"make something with spikes.... and fire" everyone else moans in approval then shuffles out to sleep it off. Anyway i thought that boss was way too easy and was quite poorly crafted. After an easy battle we get the Element of Fire a Heart Container and warp back outside and talk to the smithy who thankfully has made us a new sword, the White Sword. He also tells us about the elemental sanctuary which is where the sword will be infused with the elements. Afterward I headed back to hyrule town and traded some kinstones and called it a day. Till next time.

The Minish
Today I started off, got my sword and was tasked with saving the princess a story most Zelda fans will have heard before. I enjoy minish cap every time I play it I find the game play to be quite fun and quirky. The over world map is very reminiscent of Mario and Luigi games for the DS and advance. This game has very similar mechanics to other hand held Zelda's which allow you to choose which 2 items you use meaning at some times you don't even have to have your sword equipped. The story feels very familiar with but with ganon missing you feel a little less motivated.
Anyway the game prompts you to head for the minish woods in order to find the little guys so you can repair the picori sword and save the princess. When you get there you meet up with your Navi equivalent ( which has been a staple of Zelda since OOT) Ezlo, who turns out to be a green hat shaped fellow who then resides on your head for the remainder of the game. After saving ezlo you are shown how to enter the picori world and learn of the task ahead from the minish elder. In order to reforge the picori blade you must find the four elements (Wind Water Earth and Fire), lucky the picori decided to settle right in from of the resting place of the earth element in the Deepwood Shrine. If you are reading this i assume you have a working knowledge of how Zelda dungeons are structured (master key, small keys equipment item etc) so i won't ever talk about the setup of the dungeon unless something is different. The first dungeon is quite simple as expected you attain the Gust Jar (which is quite a cool item I quite like it) it has the ability to suck and blow, yet both make it useful. afterward the big key can be found and the boss vanquished. In this case it is a little strange the boss is in fact a lowly green slime enemy that takes 1 sword slash at normal size but because this dungeon is done at the minish size this enemy becomes a bit more of a chore. Afterward we are rewarded with the Earth Element and a Heart Container giving us 4 hearts atm.
After the dungeon we go back to learn of the next element fire and its resting place in Mt. Crenel. While on the way out of the minish woods we find a minish who gives us the Bomb Bag, Afterwards we set off for Mt.Crenel learning the o so important spin attack along the way and using our newly found kin stone system we open a passage to a Heart Piece and gain another heart slot (5). Mt. Crenel is the mountainous region of hyrule of course but curiously it does not share it's name with most others in the series, generally the standard name is death mountain as seen in OOT and ALTTP. After learning about an item we need to climb we find and purchase our First Bottle and begin the journey upwards. This area has quite alot of walls that can be opened with the bombs we found earlier in the minish woods, some are quite obvious as they are drawn to look breakable the other are equally as obvious due to the surroundings. After a short while you find another vendor deku who after a beating sells you the Grip Ring for 40 rupees. Till next time

Brave New World
Minish Cap
NA release - January 10th 2005
They say that the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step and I believe that is very appropriate here. Today i begin what will most likely dominate my free time for the next 7 months of my free time. I feel excited, maybe i just don't know what i am getting myself into yet. Anyway the plan is to update how many dungeons, items etc i have collected at the start of my posts then have a small summary about the quest as i see it. The first posts on each game will be an overview of what i know about the game as well as a little description on why it goes where it does on the time line. So without further ado onto the format! The Minish cap is the journey of young link (who is green hat-less for the first time in a Zelda game) finding the Picori and saving the princess Zelda from the evil wizard Vaati. This game is placed first in the time line due to the opening sequence talking about how the hero of men came to be and sealing of the evil forces. I see this as the first game due to the lack of mention of the master sword or Ganon both being extremely important elements in the games. Because they have not been mentioned i assumed the events that they take place in have not occurred yet making Minish cap the earliest game in the Hyrulian lore.
The Beginning
I don't know what drove me to this madness but I have decided to play through all the current Zelda titles out in the order I believe they are set in the Zelda time line. This will not include four sword or Four swords Adventures. As well because i believe it to be a split time line i will play through Hyrule A then through hyrule B. I will be posting screen shots as well as updating dungeons completed and items acquired. As i play i will post summaries of my adventures in Hyrule. My order as stands will be:
1. Minish Cap -STARTED - October 23rd FINISHED - october 28th
2. Orcarina of Time (Split time line ending leads to two separate Hyrules A and B) STARTED - October 29th FINISHED - November 13th
3. Majora's Mask - A STARTED - November 14th FINISHED - November 30th
4. Twilight Princess -A STARTED - December 2nd FINISHED -
5. Link to the Past - A
6. Oracle of Ages - A
7. Oracle of Seasons - A
8. Link's Awakening - A
9. Windwaker - B
10. Phantom Hourglass - B
11. Spirit Tracks - B
12. The Legend of Zelda - B
13. Link's Adventure - B
( -A representing games in the A hyrule and -B representing games in B hyrule)
I know that this will drag on unless i put a time limit on it so my plan will be to accomplish this by my next birthday, May 31st 2011. So it begins i will update every 2 days i hope maybe everyday. Wish me luck.
